OK- this may be a TOTALLY stupid question, BUT, the templates and patterns for cakes? What are they used for ? Just to show what that particular cake will look like when assembled? icon_rolleyes.gif

If I understand correctly you can print out a template that matches your cake shape/size and then sketch in the details. If you have the template you won't have to draw out the cake - just add details.

for the "drawing challenged" who need the cake makers version of a coloring page...

so print it out...
grab colored pencils, crayons, markers, (lipstick even!) and design away w/out having to worry about drawing the basic shape of the cake itself!
