Can anyone please give me tips on how they use their impression mats. My lines never come out neat and I can't seam to get them to match up. Also I have the dot impression mat too and I'm confused. Does it just mark the spot for you to pipe dots(like swiss dots), because I don't really want dot indents on the cake. Do you think mabye letting the cake refridgerate awhile and harden would help the lines be bolder and not stick to the mat?

Are you dusting the mat with powdered sugar or cornstarch? It takes a little practice to get those right. I would stick the cake in the fridge for a bit if it is BC. Make sure you dust your mats, and overlap the design a little ,sometimes it is a little hard to get it matched up right.

Yes, the dotted one just gives indentions to mark the spots where you pipe the dots. Once you pipe the dots, you don't see the identions.

Thanks thats what I thought. Wasn't sure though. Yes I just kind of rub some corstarch on the mat. I don't have any pantyhose or knee highs. I should probably invest in some for that reason.
