...I just don't feel like crumb coating! What is the best way to store cakes untill tomarrow? Should I just wrap in saran wrap? I'll frost and decorate tomarrow afternoon for wedding on Sunday.

Really? Freeze them just overnight? How long would they need to thaw?

i freeze mine and crumb coat them still frozen.. its easier to handle them and you can even fill them and crumb coat still semi frozen.. you can use your hand to press down any uneven spots first.. plus the cake ends up very moist!

icon_biggrin.gif I always bake my cakes and then freeze them overnight. That way you get that fresh baked taste with the easiness of handling a frozen cake. It's the only way to go!

If you are doing them tomorrow just saran wrap them. I will sometimes bake on wed and not decorate till fri or sat and just saran them. They will be fine.

Thanks everyone! I wrapped and froze all but the banana cakes-they didn't fit in the freezer.
