Approximately How Much Icing To Set Aside?

I know someone here can help me with this. Am making a cake, top layer 8" 2 layer, torted into 4 (so will be 3 layers of filling), bottom later 12" square 2 layer, torted into 4 as well. I was wondering how much icing you would set aside to fill these cakes? I am going to be mixing peanut butter in for the 8" and strawberry preserves for the 12" so that will add some to the volume.
