how do you get air bubbles out of buttercream or icing,after you put it into an icing bag? Is there a way to stop this happening so much?
Its a pain when your trying to pipe something then a bubble pops out and spoils it.

I always squeeze my bag and squirt some of the icing back into the bowl to press out any air in it before I start decorating... I also do this after refilling the bag while decorating too .. HTH ![]()
If they are small air bubbles from mixing the frosting... while it is in the bowl smoosh it on the side with a flat spatula to get all those tiny air bubbles out.
If it is larger ones that kinda spurt out the icing I do like the suggested above... I either squeeze out the little bit in the bottom back into the bowl to get to what I just put in the bag, or I squish the air bubble out the top of the bag.
