A few months back there was some talk of Nutella on the forums. I finally found some at the grocery store. It is pretty yummy by itself but I was wondering what else you all do with it? I can't find the origional threads this was talked about in. Can you mix it with buttercream or do you use it straight as a filling?

you might be able to whip it up into a nice filling. straight out is very strong and thick.

I have used it straight as a filling. I have mixed it with Cocolate Fudge flavored DH frosting for a filling. You can also take sugar cookies and spread nutella on them and them put a scoop of ice cream and sandwich them together for really yummy ice cream sandwiches. There are lots of things you can do with it!

The possibilities are almost endless!

I like it with peanut butter. I bet a mixture of PB, Nutella, and BC(or with out BC) would make a fabulous filling for a dark chocolate cake covered with ganache.

Break out the milk!

It's also nice piped into the center of all kinds of pastries. You could fold it together with some cool whip to make a fluffy center of a cupcake.

YUM!

Yum, I love Nutella. I need to buy some more.

I've had someone request it in their cake so I mixed some with a little chocolate buttercream for the filling. I also mixed a little of it into the buttercream icing. Very good.

Melt it over very hard ice cream!
Drizzle it on a decorated cake!
Mix it into a milkshake!

I used it straight as a filling and it was fabulous! PB and Nutella sandwich...warm it up a little and did strawberries in it...eat it right out of the jar! oh also...check The Food Network's site for Everyday Itallian recipes, she uses Nutella a lot.

I like to eat it straight out of the jar!
That's why it's banned from my house! There's over 1000 calories in one of those small jars!!!!

Put it on anything and everything you can get your hands on!!! Nutella rules! thumbs_up.gif

I've been to Italy twice and I got adicted to it. They serve it for breakfast there. There's a great restaurant in NYC that makes a dessert panini with it. Just spread it on two pieces of crusty, sliced Italian bread and grill it in a panini maker or in a skillet with a weight on top. Hot Nutella paninis...yuuuuuuuuuuuuum. icon_biggrin.gif

It's also good between two home-baked cookies. Nutella cookie sandwiches!!!
