Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has tried the wc paste recipe on here and how it compares to mmf as far as taste and ease of use. I have used mmf many times and love it, but was thinking about trying the wc paste as well! Thanks so muchicon_smile.gif-Alison

heiser73,
I have not made either of the recipes on this site but i have made something similar at least to one of them, and i must say since i have started working with fondant, I like it better, the chocolate paste, is a bit stickier, dry out fast, and isnt very plyable unless it's on the verge of melting, I do like the chocolate for molding roses that I plan on using luster dust on, and I make diplomas and scrolls out of it as it has nice translucent old look to it. I would'nt cover a cake with it because it gets really hard. I dont know if this helps at all.

Could you make model figures with chocolate paste. I use fondant all the time, but I find it takes awhile to dry. Some times I have to reshape figures so they could dry.

I think you could, You just dont want to handle it alot as the heat from your hands can melt it pretty quick but I'm talking about the recipe without powdered sugar.

kayscakes-thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it! I may try to make some chocolate paste, but I'm not in any hurry nowicon_smile.gif I thought you could cover cakes with it and maybe it was easier or tastier or something. I just didn't want to be missing out on something! Thanks again!
