I was wondering if anyone has found a tool that would measure batter besides just a plain measuring cup. I thought I had seen a tool at one time that you could load about 6 cups of batter and then dispense out a cup at a time. It kind of looked like a cookie press, but it was for batter.
I always have a difficult time trying to get the same amount in 2 pans without making a huge mess with regular measuring cups. Is it just me???
I just switched to the 3" deep pans partially for this reason. I could never get even amounts of batter into the two 2" pans.
I just did a quick search on the internet and found this:

I don't think it's exactly what you had in mind but maybe you can search further and come up with something. Or maybe could you just separate into 2 large Pyrex measuring cups first to see that the amounts are equal and then pour each of those into a pan. Hey, I think that would work, I wish I would have thought of that before ![]()
Good luck.
Thanks for all the help - the bater dispenser is maybe what I had seen before, but when I searched on Google - I came up with nothing.
The scale idea is also a great idea - why didn't I think of that!! That is probably the easiest way.
The easiest way to do this would be to get a scale. Then just make sure the pans weigh the same once all the batter is in them.
or get a scale that allows you to zero out the weight of the container (bowl, pan, whatever)
then always just measuring the ingredients/batter/(mess in my case)
