Hi,
I have a request for a 28 in hot dog cake. Yep, 28 inches. the lady wants the cake to be the centerpiece for her husbands 60th birthday party. The cake is to be 28 inches in length, covered with fondant., with mustard and relish. Please help. Also, how the heck am I supposed to make it??? Do you know where I can get a jelly roll pan? HELP!!!!

Michaels, AC Moore, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kmart, Walmart are places that should carry a jellyroll pan. I've also seen them in the grocery store in the cake aisle.

Depending on the length of the pan, you may have to bake 2 or 3 cakes and roll up to get the length you need for the hot dog. For the bun, the only thing I can think is two stack two layers of cake and carve out the middle to nestle the hot dog in.

Mustard, yellow buttercream. For the relish you could take some fondant and divide it up to color two portion two colors of green then roll out and cut into small squares.

just how many is this supposed to serve?

makes a difference in how you make it

Oh and... is the hot dog portion supposed to red colored cake?

after that, can you carve cake?
