I got a cookie cutter that is a hand with a heart in the middle. I want to make some to give to people where I work tomorrow - my last day is Friday. The work is in social services helping troubled (abused) kids. I'd like to attach something to them or hand a poem or something to them with the cookie.... but I can't seem to find a good heart/hand poem or quote or anything anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas? Like I thought "helpful hands touch hearts".... but it doesn't sound great.... I thought a good poem would be better...
I'd love to hear your ideas!
I don't mean to tease, but the first thing that came to mind was the closing song from "Dirty Dancing"...it says in the chorus: "Join hands and hearts and voices, voices, hearts, and hands..."
Also, here is a link I had book marked that has heart quotes: http://www.links2love.com/love_heart_quotes.htm
Here are a few quotes/poems I found, and the site where I found them.

Love the earth and sun and animals,
Despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks,
Stand up for the stupid and crazy,
Devote your income and labor to others...
And your very flesh shall be a great poem.
~Walt Whitman
Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another hand into the light. ~Norman B. Rice
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
~Irish Blessing
Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another hand into the light. ~Norman B. Rice
Hey, you could take this quote and make it your own...change the second "hand" to "heart"...
Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another heart into the light!
