okay...looking for height of cake layers...

When you make a single layer cake? How high?

Double layer say 8"...what's the norm?

Pretty much, what's the cake height rule?

TIA jessica

I like my cakes tall. My singles are at least 2"...and my doubles are at least 4" - now, once I fill and ice them, they end up anywhere from 2"-5".

They should be about 4" tall, a double layer. With icing, mine are.

I fill my pans 2/3 of the way full.

HTH!

My single layers are 2" high. A 2 layer tier is 4-5" high with filling and frosting. I haven't tried the 3" pans-I have plenty of 2" icon_smile.gif
