Can I Put An Edible Image On Top Of Fondant?

Hello everyone! First, let me say that I am new to this site, and am TOTALLY IN LOVE!! This is like the big giant cake family I never had! LOL

I am going to be trying fondant for the first time. I wondered if it is possible to put an edible image on top of the fondant? Would I have to put a thin layer of buttercream underneath the image?

Welcome to Cakecentral, so glad to have you on board. One way to put an edible image on fondant is to use a small amount of piping gel. Lightly coat the back of the image and place the image on the fondant. Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles with your fingers
