I got a request to ship cupcakes to NC. I read the thread on how to ship cakes, but will that do the same for cupcakes?

I think it would be basically the same idea... you're just dealing with little cakes! icon_wink.gif Good luck!!

I've shipped cupcakes. I wrapped each cupcake individually. Then I packed them in a box or wrapped them securely in a plastic bag and bubble wrap. The reason for this is to keep water out in case the package gets caught in the rain. Then I pack that box or bubble wrapped cupcakes in a packing box with packing material. I make sure that the cupcakes won't be bouncing around as the box gets tossed, slid, shoved, turned, thrown, and everything else. The cupcakes have always arrived in good, edible condition.
One thing though, my cucpakes weren't frosted either. They were poundcakes with a glaze on top.
