Need Humorous "going Away" Cake For Coworker
Decorating By missmeg Updated 13 Jun 2007 , 1:02pm by missmeg
A coworker got a lateral promotion (addition of duties) and it requires she have a private locked office. So she will be vacating her shared cube in the coming weeks.
The other girls asked if I would "do" a cake for her. She's literally just moving across the hall, so we want it to be tongue-in-cheek humor about "leaving".
It only needs to feed 12 people, so it doesn't need to be big.
I'm flat stripped of ideas, so any help would be appreciated
.
How about a "bon voyage" or "miss you already" cake like she's going very far away. Or, depending on the culture/work environment, you could use "don't let the door hit ya....
1) where the dog should've bit ya; or
2) where the good Lord split ya; or
3) in the @$$ on your way out."
I like Doug's idea of a vault door, that was good.
Maybe something around a file / key, you know how they would bake a file into a cake to spring someone out of jail.
