Im a lil....miffed! One girl at my job asked me if I can make a cake for her daughters 4th birthday on July 7th and I said "of course". She wants the lil mermaid cake that I made. No problem !! I told her that it would be $80 ( I th ink I under quoted her) and she had a baby cow!!!! She said that is too much and it doesnt look like it cost that much. I told her....."I can charge you my hourly price if you like. I work for $13hr and that cake takes me roughly 8hrs." She had another baby cow and proceeded to ask me what she could get for $30. I told her I can make her a 2 layer 1/4 sheet cake with the basics. She told me never mind.
Things like that frustrate me! Ive told the ppl at work MANY times that I just dont have cakes laying around. I work 40hrs a week and im tired most days. When I tell them how much it will cost.....I have to stop myself from explaining myself to them.....ie...cost of materials, time, gas for cooking...etc. Ugh!

I totally feel your frustration. I haven't had anyone having a cow yet, but they ask how much something will cost and never hear from them again. Some people just don't get. They don't get my cakes either.
