What are the best air tight containers you use for storing your icings, simple syrups, etc.? I want to purchase some containers but I am not sure what will work good enough? Will the Glad containers work? Any help would be great!!

Mine are the blue rubbermaid containers. They work great.

veronica, I use glad ones and they work fine. I store my icings and syrups in them just fine in the fridge and out! HTH!

Veronica - you can't go wrong with Lock & Lock. They are airtight and can be used in the freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. I have stored gumpaste, candy clay, and fondant with excellent results. You can buy it at stores like Target, some Wal-Marts, K-Mart, and Kroger grocery stores in addition to QVC. It seals totally airtight with a special silicone seal and has 4 "locking" mechanisms on each lid that can be opened easily with one arthritic hand thumbs_up.gif .
