I SHOULD CHARGE FOR 50 CUPCAKES THEY WERE GOING TO ORDER FROM THE STORE AND MY FRIEND TOLD THEM ABOUT ME... THE STORE CHARGE $23.00 FOR 45 CUPCAKES.......NOTHING FANCY VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE CUOCAKE WITH BUTTERCREAM ICING.....

I would charge $35 if they are as plain and simple as you say...I think that's fair for homemade baked goods.

I would charge $37.50, that's .75 cents a cupcake--the store is charging .51 cents. And I'm sure yours are much more tasty. Will there be a design on the top? Depending on the intricacy of design, it may be more like $1.00 a cupcake--especially if it has fondant on it.

I agree with Mac. Be sure to explain to them that you are charging less per cupcake.

If the cupcakes are iced plain, then go with the .75; if they're going to have a decoration(s) on them then start at $1.00 and up depending on decoration(s).
