I don't think I can upload a pic (mod's clarify?) but I have a new project, and he is 3 weeks old. Hubby and I were FINALLY approved as foster parents last week after 9 months of classes and paperwork and interviews. Well monday we recieved a reward for our patience...a 3 week old baby boy named Charlie. He is QUITE cute. From the back story about his mother, it seems like we will be able to adopt him sometime next year. I can't share the fullstory but he was born addicted to drugs and he has 3 sibs, two of which are pre-adoptive and one that is too young but they plan on her being pre adoptive soon. (They do a review of the situation after a certain amount of time goes by and if the mother/father is showing no signs of improvement, they start procedings to terminate rights and the child can be adopted.) So given all the facts, it seems like he may be ours. Tee Hee. Just had to share my great news.

Oh, I love to hear stories like yours. My husband and I have adopted 4 babies through foster care, it has its ups and downs, but we have been very blessed. I just love babies!!!!

Foster/adoptive parents have my utmost respect! My husband's aunt is a foster parent...has adopted 6 of her fostered children (two sibs in a similar situation as your Charlie) in the past 2 or 3 years. She also comes from a large family - she is one of the "original" 6, to which 7 siblings were added. So, I have been around her fostering family, and I know the ups and downs, tears and joys.

OHH Just think to the cakes this is going to require 
He is absolutely adorable!!! Don't they just grab your heart? It's hard to imagine where they came from when they're so clean and shiny. When I get a new baby I give them a bath right away, put them in new comfy clothes and just snuggle them for the rest of the day. Can you tell mine are starting to grow up.
