I just started taking course 3 last night. So far it seems really good. I am hoping that some of my CC family could give me some tips on Course 3. Like what fondant to use, pre packaged or make my own? And any other tips or tricks that would be useful to course 3.
Also is the fondant and gumpaste class worth taking or is it just a review of course 3?

If it is your first time using fondant I would buy some so you can see what it is suppose to feel like. I made the mistake of making MMF for my first time and it was a disaster!!! I had a rough time in class because my fondant was drying out so fast compared to those who bought their fondant. Now that I know what it is suppose to feel like I might try making it again. I had fun in my class.

Good Luck

I enjoyed the classes. I used the pre packaged fondant for course 3 just because it was the first time I was using it. I really liked all the different things that you can do with it. Also, I took the fondant class and liked it too. I learned new flowers and other techniques that I did not learn through course 3.

Thanks for the tips. I went out and bought some wilton fondant and flavoured it with the flavor drops I read about on this site. It does not taste as bad with the drops added. I never realized that fondant was so hard to knead at first.
I think I will take the fondant and gumpaste class. My michaels has a deal in July with buy the class get the kit for a penny, so I think I will try it.
