Any tips on how to keep your cakeboards from getting soggy when doing a tiered cake? I had one that tried to fall apart because the board was soggy.

the foiled paper wilton and others sell

or

saran warp (it hates me so I don't use it too often)

or

contact paper

those seem to be the big three of cake board covering.

I have heard the glad press n' seal stuff works really well!! Also for covering fake foam cakes for practicing on.

I cut circles/squares/whatever shape the cake is to fit the cardbord circle.....cut them out of Reynolds Freezer Wrap and glue them on shiny side up. Cut one for the top and the bottom

I guess everyone is laughing now! I only put the contact paper on the bottom board that everyone sees. I never thought to put it on the cake boards that you COULDN'T See!! DUH! I was just putting plaing cakeboards on top of the bottom cake and then stacking and dowelling.

Thanks!
