I'm looking for recommendations before I buy. Has anyone compared the major brands, or better yet, used more than one brand? I've seen them by Kopykake, Badger and Aztek. Any advice from you airbrush experts? And how much does a compressor affect the quality/ease of work? I tend to think the Airbrush is the important piece, but if the compressor is equally as important ... any recommendations?

At ICES, Norm Davis talked about Badger, but that's all the info I have on them. I, too, am looking for the best one for the right price.

i have the kopykake airmaster and love it, BUT at ICES Americolor have come out with a new airbrush that looks really really good. the compressor is enclosed in a case, it does not move around on the counter and is pretty quiet. it has a coiled hose to the brush that probably stretches 12 ft or more, it has a moisture trap and brush holder. the airbrush its self was slightly differant in that the little cup can be moved out of the way by sliding it left or right or even underneath to attach small bottles of colour saving you having to put new drops into the cup. its single action but also has an adjustment incase one is heavy on the pull back lever, making it harder or easier to pull on. OH, the air brush is also weighted so that it balances on the finger, where as others are front heavy. I will in time look at getting this. the complete system was 299. + shipping. the compressor also has an internal adjustment along with a pressure gauge on top, allowing the smallest amount of pressure to be used.
