Well, Ladies, I made it to the Wilton tent sale today. The web site said that the sale started at 4:30, but I got there at 4:00 and the place was already swarming with people, many leaving with carts full of goodies already. The tent was so packed you could barely move more than 3 feet at a time. It was like trying to maneuver a semi in the midst of a traffic jam. You could definitely tell who lived nearby, as they had only a couple of items in their hands, no carts.
I, on the other hand, had a cart, which was brimming to the top with goodies and new toys by time I made it to the registers! I thought for sure I could stick to my list and behave, but oh, heck no!!! I bought some cooling racks that I desperately needed, cake boards, cake boxes, cupcake liners in 3 sizes and several themes, lots of cake candles, a few pans, a few books, a few featherweight bags, etc. It sure adds up quickly! I was pretty nervous about 'fessing up to DH about how much i spent, but he just smiled and said "That's quite a few cakes you need to sell." He is truly the best!!! Hope those of you that are going tomorrow have as much fun as I did. Oh, and leave your purse home and just wear a fanny pack, trust me, it will be easier! icon_wink.gif

I am so envious! That sounds like a nightmare shopping environment (at least for me), but so much fun when you get all those goodies! Any time you are doing SERIOUS shopping a fanny pack is the way to go so you have both hands free! LOL

Great husband you have! Be sure you let him know that you know that! Janice

Everyhing sounds like a winner to me. I love to shop. I should have been born with a credit card in both hands! or a rich husband waiting for me to grow up.( he he he ) Anyway, I wish I lived near there too, would have had lots of fun!! So, I guess for now we all who can not go will just have to be happy for you and we are!! Just keep us post on all the good things and the new things you see. Is the sale about the same time ever year? I ask because I plan to visit some of my family people who live over that way next year about that time(smile).

Happy for you dear, You go girl!!!

How sad, I went today and spent $59.66 and I got the 'treatment'. icon_wink.gif In his defense we are redoing our kitchen and we are strapped for cash but it was really hard to pass up all the goodies!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially the pans. BUT Michaels and Joann's always have coupons, so I will live.

(Maybe after the kitchen is done and we re-budget he will let me go back...LOL...we'll see.)
