Does anyone here use the ED Smith Pie filling from a can for their cakes? I used it to fill mine but I have some left over and I was wondering how to store the rest that I did not use. I have put it in the freezer before and then defrosted it but it did not taste so great. I was wondering if it can be kept in the fridge and how long it can be kept in the fridge. Thanks Jen

Normally things like that (from a can) should be used within just a couple of days just because once they are out of the can they are suseptable(sp?) to bacteria growth. Since you can't freeze it with good results maybe make some thumb print cookies with it or some little tarts.
