Has anyone ever used strings of beads (Pearly ones) from the fabric store for the border of a wedding cake?? How would one go about attaching them?? I have loose pearls that I have ordered but I don't know how to attach those either.

Years ago, but Wilton put them out. They just kinda stick in the icing - I did them around the bottom border. It was a pain....had to take them off to slice it and that messed up the bottom border......

I have used them as the bottom boarder. They just kind of stick in the icing. I have a few examples in my pics.

How do you get them to stick if the cake is covered in fondant?

I would run a thin line of buttercream for them to lay in.
