Your cake was beautiful!! I hate working with black icing. It always runs. Putting it in the fridge helped it run. I let it get room temp. in a cool room when finished and let it crust. It seems to do better. When your icing starts to melt while working on it, it is because you have hot hands. Put the bag of icing in the fridge for a few minutes to cool it down. I used to do most of my cakes at night when my kids were babies, I know how you feel!!

I think tigger came out wonderful!!! I know it is a bit off topic but how did you get the white icing so smooth in places that were so little such as under his arms. I have worked with characrter pans before and I find it much harder obviously than icing a flat cake smooth. The stars and stuff I get but the base color is where I struggle.
