How can I make buttercream frosting in a strawberry or raspberry flavour without getting the seeds in the frosting - all of the recipes I have found call for fresh fruit.

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure the answer to that one, I always use seedless jams, they work great too, if you just blend them into the buttercream. icon_smile.gif

At work we use a concentrated fruit paste and mix it into the buttercream. It makes it really yummy! The only drawback is that the jars are like $40/each (they go a long way) and I don't know where to get them for home use.

I think you can cook fruit down and strain to make a fruit paste... it would take alot of fruit but it would be the same basic idea.

I've been using the white choc. rasberry coffee creamer in my buttercream and it is sooooo good! Will turn out with a cream colored icing, but that's fine if your going to color it.

A gourmet shop or even like a Whole Foods should have something like a seedless jam or a fruit paste with no sugar added (so you don't add sweetness).

I buy the syrup for pancakes at walmart. It is in a glass bottle next to the regular pan cake syrup. There is strawberry, Raspberry and Blueberry. I have recieved A HUGE amount of comliments on how each of these flavors taste exactly like the real fruit. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif
