Can anyone tell me where they order there boards and boxes in bulk, I have gotten them country kitchen, but they are smaller than the ones I can get at the local cake supply store. The owner has'nt been to forthcoming in tell me her supplier, (shes in business, why would she). Her !/2 sheet boards are 14 by 191/2 which is nice as it leaves room on the board for borders and such on side of cake.

Try looking at places that specialize in packaging, like uline.com . I know they carry a limited supply of cake boards and boxes, and are probably a little cheaper.

I actually just bought cake boxes and boards at my local sams club. I got 25 boxes for like $23 and 50 boards for $25. I'm not exactly sure the size..but I know they fit TWO 11x15s perfectly(full sheet) and they have half sheets and quarter sheets too. I hope this helpsicon_smile.gif

Do you have a UPS store near you? They sell all shapes of boxes that you could use. They are strong also.

Definitely UPS store--I love their cube boxes.

If not, try any U-Haul place. They have lots of great boxes.

If you use a box that isn't specifically for food handling/storage, I'd suggest covering the inside with plastic wrap or something. Never know where the box has been, who's stepped on it, what's crawlled in it, etc. Might just be a precaution I take. If I can manage to use a regular cake box but with the lid propped open, I just saran wrap the open part for dust, fur, etc.

If anyone would like to do a box/board swap, let me know!! I have a bulk box of 12" round cake circles and 12" cake boxes. I could use some 1/2 sheet boards and boxes!!

I forgot to add I used restockit.com when I purchased the circles and boxes.

Okay...I'm going to post the most garded secret I have. It's taken me 1 1/2 years to find this place. The downfall to some of you might be you have to be a verifiable business to order. These are TRUE wholesale prices and less than half the cost as what I have seen posted.

www.CKProducts.com

It took me a week to set up an account with them but OMG...it was so worth it!

Hope this helps someone!

Barefoot Contessa: I checked out the www.restockit.com. Wow!! What a great place! I buy from a number of wholesale places, but restockit seems to beat them all! Thanks for the great tip!
