I have heard such great things about this stuff but I can't find it at any of my local stores. Where can I get it?
our super walmart carries it...look near the shortening and oils...love using it also!
I don't have a Super Walmart near me! Do you think that a regular Walmart might carry it?
Bakers joy is great but pam for baking works just as well. Probably easier to find. DO you have a pathmark in maryland? they have bakers joy there. I think the 1st time i bought it in super target but when i went back i didnt find it so bought the pam for baking instead. i didnt even notice a difference.
check your local supermarket.. foodlion or such... not sure if regular walmarts will carry it or not.. good luck on your search.
I grew up one Bakers Joy. It has gotten much better over the years. I bought the Wilton thinking it would be wonderful....I think I threw it away (it gunked up and spit out of the can) after I remembered to get Bakers Joy at the store....I will try the Pam though.
Checked Walmart and they didn't have it. I can't find crisco in a spray either. ![]()
Ready for a dumb question? I have never heard of Bakers Joy before and am now wondering what am I missing? Can someone fill me in? Thanks!!
Baker's Joy is a spray can - like Pam - but it is flour & shortening together - WONDERFUL for character pans or bundt pans.
Hi,
Does anyone ever feel like they are going to cough or sneeze whenever they use the Baker's Joy? Never fails but whenever I use it I feel like I'm choking.

Thanks so much Carol!!
I use the Crisco spray for baking and I love it! I have yet to have a cake not come out perfectly since I have started using it...
I make my own too, and have used it for years. Just Chrisco beaten till fluffy, then approximately an equal amount of flour sifted in and beaten well. I don't measure. I keep it in the fridge between uses and just brush it onto the pans. Baker's Joy is good, but too expensive!
emilycakes,
I am not sure where you are located in Maryland, but Food Lion, Safeway, and Giant carries the Pam spray with Flour. As a matter of fact Food Lion has their own generic brand of baking spray. Hope this helps!
Are we talking regular Bakers Joy or the kind with flour? Or are they the same thing? Im asking because I have used it a few times and both times the bottom and edges of my cakes have come out over done almost burnt. When I use Pam sprsy it never happens. Maybe its my oven
Or could it be the humidity where I live? who knows. If anyone could tell me why I would be interested. I guess I will give it another try just in case.
