I would like to try one of these for a birthday cake I am making on Thursday. Can I make the transfer tonight and leave it in the freezer until Thursday? Do I put it on the cake frozen? Any input or advice would be great....

Yes, you could make it tonight and it would be fine in the freezer. One thing I learned especially in the summer, is once you put the FBCT on the cake, don't cover the cake with plastic wrap or anything. I have had condensation form and then the image smeared. You should wait until the tranfer thaws and crusts before covering the cake.

I just did my first fbct, and I left it in the freezer for 24 hours, and it came out fine. I also put the fbct on the cake while it was still frozen, put my cake in my cake saver and it did just fine. No condensation or color bleeding at all.

A suggestion (just to be on the safe side)...leave your fbct in the freezer for about 1 1/2 hours...depending on size. Then wrap it in glad wrap. I use press n seal.

This is just to insure that it won't get freezer burnt or absorb any smells/ tastes etc.

Good luck with your first fbct!!!!
