I really want to know what you think. The first cake, half stayed in the pan so at 10 pm I had to run out to the store and start over. icon_cry.gif I was so angry that I turned the other in to a dirt cake complete with gummy worms (will post later). I finally crashed at 2:30am when I wake up for work at 4am. This is my first food cake so I am a bit worried. What do all of you think? The pic is in my photos, if any of you care to give any criticism on my other cakes in there I would be grateful.

Thank you for your comments; it is nice to hear them from people who understand the work that goes in to them. I am still so new to this that I think I just get worried and I don't want to be over confidant and find out later my work sucks.

The pizza cake looks great. From a distance, it looks like a real pizza. It looks better then the pizza cake I did. I only had 8" pans so I did 2 of them, frosted the top in red colored buttercream, and cut up a bunch of different colored Airheads to represent the cheese and pepperoni. It turned out okay and the people at the occastion that it was made for liked it, but I was told that it was hard to cut through the Airheads. If I try it again, I'll use different colored fondant for my toppings. And putting it in a pizza box is a real neat idea.

It looks exactly like a real pizza!
I wonder if it is a conflict of the senses when something visually looks like one kind and your mouth kind of expects it to taste like tomato and cheese, etc., but it tastes like cake!

I made this for a potluck for my co-workers and today I just got a request to make another for someone. I was really worried but now I think I can relax a bit. Thank you so much for the comments. icon_biggrin.gif
