I am entering my first cake decorting contests this September and the theme is " making memories with music" and "movie" for a wedding cake. Does any one have any really good ideas? I am probably more freaked out about coming up with a good idea than actually decorating the cake, is that normal?
How about a tiered cake.....each tier is representative of a classic movie or muscial. Or one tier is representative of classis movies and one tier represent famous songs.
Perhaps sculpt famous movie characters out of gum paste or fondant to decorate the movie tiers........and make a strip of fondant look like film.
You can make musical notes out of fondant and use to decorate the music tier.....mabye write the lyrics from famous songs on the cake.
