I am embarrassed to say, I did not warm my butter enough and it was still cold inside and got all lumpy on me when I added 2 cups of powdered sugar. I noticed it right away, scooped it all into a microwave safe bowl and nuked it for a minute. I put it back into the mixer and whipped it up and now it's chilling in the fridge.

Once it hardens up, is it still salvagable?? icon_cry.gif

I have a feeling if you nuked it for a minute that you may have melted the butter, in which case you might be in trouble. If the butter was just softened, you'll probably be ok. I think you'll just hvae to wait it out!

Oh boy, it was fairly on the liquidy pouring side. LOL.

It's getting stiffer in the fridge...I have not added the rest of my powdered sugar because I don't want to waste it if I have to start over...

I have some chocolate recipes that do call to melt the butter, so you may be okay, just wait and see.
