I'm making a sheet cake tomorrow that I hope (if all goes well) will have a layer of Duff's BC and then covered with Toba Garrett's fondant.

Will I need to refrigerate this cake overnight or will the fondant keep the BC?

TIA

Nikki

Buttercream is fine out for a day or so. The sugar acts as a preservative. If it doesn't have any dairy in it other than butter, it should be fine for a couple of days.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about Duff's BC. I usually use the 1/2 butter 1/2 crisco kind.
