Royal Icing Flower Question???

Can I freeze my royal icing flowers for my Wilton Course 2 final cake.And If I can do I need to take them out and thaw them or what????

don't freeze them. just leave them in a cool, dry place like a cupboard. they're meant to harden. icon_smile.gif

don't freeze or refrigerate them. covered, air tight plastic container on the counter, they last for almost forever LOL

i love to just make a batch on a quiet evening. i have containers full of them... so handy when you want to do a quick cake or if you want a ton of different colors and shapes and don't want to take the time to do them ALL.... too much color mixing, tip changing etc.

I agree with alaskanmom. After doing gingerbread houses or frosted cookies, I dye the rest of the royal and make bunches of drop flowers. Don't forget to reserve a little to dye yellow for the center dot! I need to make some more very tiny ones. I thought I wouldn't use them as much, but I do go digging for the tiny ones often.
