It seems like a silly question, but how do you do this? Just like covering the cake? How do you attach the ribbon to the edge of the board? How do you attach the fondant to the board?
I'm sure this has been asked, but I'm having a devil of a time finding anything.
TIA!

Hi shelbur10:

I use water (others use gel) to attach fondant to board. I trim the board with ribbon by using hot glue. I am sure others do it differently.

HTH and remember to post the pics. icon_wink.gif

Hey Shellie. I popped in on another thread a couple days ago that asked this exact same question. Well the part about fondant on the board at least. Some one said to use piping gell on your board and then cover it in the fodant. I made surf boards out of cardboard covered in fondant last weekend and I just used a little water, it worked pretty good.

I can't help with the ribbon but I thought I'd give you my two cents. icon_smile.gif

I cover my cake board with contact paper then spritz the contact paper with water and apply the fondant. To attach the ribbon on the side of the cake board, I use double sided tape.
