It really is an awesome tutorial. I have it all printed out so that when I have the nerve, I'll have the "recipe" all ready.

I tried and my top tier SPLIT right in half. :| So I told my September bride that we should go with plain rounds as I'm not confident to do this shape. Since she hasn't signed a contract yet (she KNOWS she must sign one - I gave her up until a month prior to sign it because she doesn't have the money to put down the deposit and I told her that 50% is due upon signing). She's cool with the change and we're gonna go with just a funky color/design instead of funky color/design and shape.

I don't have the confidence to try it again lol.

I've tried 2 or 3 times now! LOL All on a SMALL scale basis. The last one was a 6" tier on top of a 9" tier. The 9" one didn't have any problems other than some bulging a little, but the 6" MAJORLY bulged and then split. So yeah.

I tried twice to do the crazy cupcake I saw Colette Peters do on tv with no avail. Maybe some day I will get the courage to try again. icon_razz.gif

Ok, now you guys are making me nervous! I just about had my nerve up too. I saw Colette Peters do one live, she made it look EASY! She used some dummy wedges in the middle, and I wanted to try just cake. This tutorial looks like just the ticket, but then again . . . . . .

I'm sorry ConnieSue, Colette Peters makes EVERYTHING look easy! LOL

Good luck, let us know how it turns out!
