As I posted earlier I just baked a chocolate sheet cake and it came out to 1 3/4inches. They do not want filling. Is that deep enough or should I bake it again with 3 cake mixes. I used the devils food pound cake recipe on the side of the box and realized after I made it that it did not call for the extra egg that I usually use.

Once you frost it, it will be the 2". I would just leave it and maybe use slightly (not a ton) more frosting. But that is just me.

I say just slap on some extra icing and be done. That is what many people like the best any way, especially if it is for kids.

What height are your sheet cakes normally? If 2" then it's close enough, just put on extra icing and you'll have your 2". If your sheet cakes are normally 3" then you need to bake another.

I don't have a Normal size. This is actually only my 4th one. This person got my name from someone who was at a party that had one of my cakes (not sheet) so I'm branching out in the client world and want to make sure it's right. What size are yours?

I ususally do a double cake, so it ends up being about 3. I like my cake, what can I say? But, I've only done a couple of sheet cakes, so I'm certainly no expert! I would say 2 inches is plenty - I agree just put on slightly more icing, and call it good!

Way to go on getting more clients, that's awesome!
