Lol...I'm a little embarassed to mention this but my husband is a Halo junkie. So here's a couple of ideas:

2D Plasma Sword Cake http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Energy_Sword

3D Mastercheif Helmet http://scarecrow.la/gallery/halo2prophelmet/IMG_1071

http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fei%3DUTF-8%26p%3Dmaster%2520chief%2520helmet%2520halo%26fr%3Dyfp-t-501%26fr2%3Dtab-web%26fr%3Dyfp-t-501&w=400&h=400&imgurl=www.briarsarmor.com%2Fimages%2Fhalo%2Fhalo_helmet_02.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.briarsarmor.com%2Fhalo.htm&size=34.5kB&name=halo_helmet_02.jpg&p=master+chief+helmet+halo&type=jpeg&no=6&tt=60&oid=13a5c54165d6f63a&ei=UTF-8

Halo Logo on sheet cake

XBOX 360 with the Halo logo on it

That's just a couple of ideas. Good luck with that. I haven't been brave enough to do that theme for the hubbie yet. In fact I've never made my husband a cake. He asked if he paid for one would I make it for him...lol.

I'd love to see what you decided to make. My DH is a halo junkie too! jewely, I bet ours have probably played against eachother online before, because mine is on quite a bit! DH's birthday is next month and I'm thinking of doing an xbox or halo themed cake too.

Here is the Halo cake I just finished for my friend's son. I have a nice writeup written for it but am having a problem updating my website icon_sad.gif
Maybe it will give you some ideas, it mixes stuff from all three Halo games (even though H3 is not released yet).

If you are looking for writing using the Halo font, I created the font and it is on my site:

If you do want lettering, I'm updating the font for the release of Halo 3 and Halo Wars so I can help with that if you like.

Nannuu,

You are very talented! I was looking through your website and your cakes as well as the baby's room and nintendo cabinet are fantastic.

Thanks! I've been able to nerd it up a bit these last couple years now that we have a garage and some tools.
Here is a still picture of the Halo cake.

I had to click on this post when I saw the topic "Halo Cake". If you asked anyone in my family and all the kid's extended friend's if they were Halo Junkies we would all be raising our hand's. LOL We have 4 XBOX'S in our home so when my kid's have their friends over for Halo party's we can have 16 play at once. We love it!

I am glad I saw this post, I will be making a Halo/Xbox cake for my older son's best friends B.Day next weekend. Were having another Halo party and my kid's want me to make it for him. (He is 23) I have different ideas on how to do it but just need to get the final plan's together. I saved some link's I came across of pictures of XBox cakes. Wish me luck and I wish all of you luck with your cakes. It would be fun if we all post pictures when were done.

Nannuu, Love your cake! I'm keeping mine a little more simple! LOL
my son was planning on making his own Xbox cake for his wedding a couple of week's ago, he did some samples but wasnt pleased with them so he nixed the idea, and I didnt have time to do it since I had to make their wedding cake/cupcake tier. His Bride is now an official XBOX junkie too.LOL She fit's in mighty fine! icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gif

I seem to be a Halo junkie that never actually plays Halo. I'd like to but I always seem to something else I need to do icon_confused.gif Too much cake, computer, work, kids, arcade or something. I'm sure I can make some time once Halo 3 releases.

YAY! Halo and baking! Ah, I feel right at home. Anyone else make it into the Beta test? My hubby and I did. He has video game tournaments a couple times a year and Halo is always at the heart of it. I just started playing a couple of years ago and he finally talked me into playing with him and his friends. We have a great time and I wanted to make a Halo cake for the next tourney, I was thinking about doing one of the maps, maybe Blood Gulch or something. I don't do fondant so it will have to be all bc.
Nannu, I hear ya, I also want to play but I usually can't find the time-well, I could if I wasn't on cc so much!! Oooh, I'm gonna pm you for some details icon_biggrin.gif
