How Far In Advance Can You Make Fondant Decorations?

I have a cake due on 8/11. I am makig a ton on fondant stars as decs for the cake. If I make them next Friday (7/2icon_cool.gif will it be too soon/will they go bad/look funny? I'm just running out of time & have two big cakes due that weekend (my first real orders) and I'm going to New Orleans on the 4th-6th!!!!

I think you would be fine...but I have always made my star decorations out of gumpaste. I have made mine well in advance without any problems.
