OK, if you are a true cake maker, I'm sure you will shudder at my question, but bare with me. I am making a marble cake, I am going to use boxed mixes icon_eek.gif (oh the horror) to make it easier on myself. (I am not only doing the cake, but I am a matron of honor in the vow renewal ceremony.) The mixes are ther same brand, will they bond/hold together alright? I just don't want to take them out of the pans and have them become cake crumbs!

Thanks! I'd hate to have several pounds of crumbly cake!

That is the only way that I have ever done it. Never, ever had a problem.

DH has a boxed marble. I just made it for my sons birthday party and it was really good.

if i remember correct when i used to buy the boxed marble cakes. it used to come with a little packet of cocoa. you would mix it with water then pour of the cake mix (already in the pan) take a fork and swirl it around. So you'll be saving yourself a box of cake mix.
