I was given a photocopy of an image for the Department of the Army. Unfortunately, it is different from the edible image I can purchase from my supplier. What do you think is the best way to go about doing this one? It is a 10" circle going on an 12" x 18" sheet cake. Would a FBCT be the best way to get details?

Any picture would help since the searching is a little bit difficult right now. Who knew how dependant I was on that process.... icon_rolleyes.gif

Can you give a little more detail about the cake? I'm a little confused. Are you trying to duplicate a particular image? FBCT is great for detailed images, but doesn't look as realistic as an edible image (obviously)

Can you contact your supplier and ask if they can made a special image for you using the picture the customer gave you?

The cake is for tomorrow, and I didn't receive the copy until last night. The order was also changed in writing on the picture from what we had discussed on the phone. I had already baked the cakes, but got up early and re-baked one of the 9" x 12" in chocolate instead of vanilla as originally ordered. My husband liked the idea of getting the extra sheet cake for work Monday.

The image is a circle with gold edging, a flag, liberty bell, cannon balls, drum, hat, and several other things in the design. It is going to be a bear no matter what I do. There is no way I could get this exact image by tomorrow, but I could get the generic Army circle logo and say I just thought it would look better. I'll try the FBCT this afternoon and if it doesn't look right, I will buy the other.
