Does anyone have an idea on how to create trees from royal icing or any other sugar suggestions? I a making a building shaped cake and I need trees that can stand. detective.gif

There is a tutorial on making pine trees in the articals. Not sure about other trees.

saw something similar using pretzel rod for trunk and then glued on pretzel sticks for branches.

I'm not sure who I saw this cake from, but they used tootsie rolls as the tree trunks, then I think royal for the greens. I have also seen people use green spearment leaves for the leaves (those jelly ones). HTH.

I use pretzel rods and put a scoop of green candy melts on the top to look tike trees, it in the park on in my picks. Hope that helps!
