Its so cute already. Maybe you can try using a smaller star tip. The larger stars seem to be overpowering the design.
Hope that helps. Let us know how the real cake turns out.

Try white for the muzzle... (is that what it's called)... to define the nose area. Maybe that will help.
Well, I couldn't find the actual carebear you were talking about, but here's a picture of a pink one along those lines. You should be able to use it as a guidline. I would almost suggest using short pull-outs with a grass tip instead of a star tip to make it look like fur.
Yes, I would definitely go with a smaller star tip. If you don't do a white muzzle (as sweetbaker said, is that what it's called?), at least a paler pink. if you go to the care bear website, you will see that most all of then, the muzzle is lighter. Also, here is a link that has someone who did something similar.

Thank you to everyone. I am going to try again. I only have untill father's day to get it right.
I think the one with the cupcake on it's belly is yellow. I don't know if that matters or if she wants a pink bear. I think I'd like a pink over yellow too!

That looks really cute! I saw a Wilton carebear cake pan at party city the other day...that might be another option for you! Good luck!
