Yet Another Airbrushing Question...

Ok, I have decided to run to the store to get an airbrush to try this out... now, I don't have any airbrush colors and the only place that I can get them is online, so my question is, can I use the icing colors and dilute them with something and if so, what should I use and how much???

I wouldn't ... I'd wait and get airbrush colors ... the other might clog it.

If you're going to use anything other than airbrush colors, I would just use the regular liquid colors that McCormick makes. You shouldn't have a problem with that - any of the others would probably clog it.

I will try the regular "food coloring" just to try it out. I don't want to have a HUGE investment in the airbrush and airbrush colors if I honestly am NO good at it. But, if I get to the point that I feel comfortable and want to keep doing it, I will get the airbrush colors... does anyone know if the "regular" food coloring would "melt" the icing due to the water in it???
