Ok I've seen so many people give fancy little drops to the edges of thier photos and fancy borders and such to take away or cover up any clutter that may be seen lol... HOW CAN I DO THIS???? which program do you use to do this?

I have a program called Art Borders but it won't let me download anymore borders unless I pay the $15.~ and I don't wanna do all that lol.... So I'm wondering if anyone can share what program they use or how they make the pretty edges on thier photos.. Thanks in advance!

Becky

I hope you find an answer. I tried searching online today for "free picture editing software". I came up with something I think would work and downloaded it but it seems so complicated. Maybe when I buy a digital camera soon it will come with software to edit my pictures. I have started trying to take my pictures where there's nothing in the background too. Like on the dryer with a sheet hanging in the background.

My digicam is a Kodak Easy Share and it didn't come with anything although I wish it did lol.

My most recent picture I've uploaded I took with hubby holding a velvety blue blanket up behind it to hide the clutter of my living room... (we're still unpacking after a recent move lol) but I forgot to let the blanket cover the table as well lol...

I use a photo-editing program by Corel, it's Corel Photo Album 6, and although I haven't played around very much with it, I've been able to manipulate photos by cropping, softening edges, and changing colour tones (like colour to sepia).

I'm not sure if there's a free trial version or anything, but I bought mine when I bought my digital camera. It's a great program, it will download and organize photos, etc.

I think it was around $50 Canadian at Costco.

I haven't had much luck with free programs from the net, but both my digicams came with basic upload/retouching software. I've also been to the Kodak site. At one point, they had free software available for download.

I wanted something more, though. I've got Paint Shop Pro, now. You can do everything with it. But it takes a lot of learning, and practice.

Good luck in your search. icon_smile.gif

Yeah I know all about PSP but I can't afford it and the free trial I had years ago didn't offer what exactly I was looking for either...
