its a little off topic, but what the heck is an HOA and don't even get me started on housing prices! We bought our house 4 years ago for 140, 000 and now it is worth somewhere between 240 and 270,000 the prices here are crazy! And we only have a 1400 square foot house! So much for moving up....time to add on I quess!

You have to go through them to get anything thing done to your house; like structural things!

icon_redface.gif DUH!!!!! thanks.......that is one benefit we have of living in a older residential area, no HOA......I love not having anyone telling me what I can and can't do and not having to pay them to boss me around LOL
