Some people make me soo angry!
My daughter has a trip to Orlando in August with our church to perform at the National Fine Arts thing. My ex-MIL ( my daughters grandmother) works at a large company (GE) here in Greenville . She has been taking cupcakes out there to sell to help my daughter earn money for her trip. ![]()
OK the reason I'm angry is....
I made about 100 cupcakes and brownies for her to take today. She calls as I'm walking out the door to deliver them to her; to let me know that she is on her way home. She has decided to go to Martinsville Virginia to visit two of her boys who work on a race team. One of them being my daughters father. I understand her wanting to see her boys totally; I have three girls. She could have said something last night when I called to confirm the time for me to bring these out to her. I know ya'll are thinking typical MIL & ex-DIL. We have always got along. Sorry, just had to vent. Now I'm stuck whith all of these and no one to sell them to.
I'm not sure how old your daughter is, but could she set up a lemonade type stand in front of your house to sell the goodies? My boys do that when I have a garage sale, and the last time they made $88 just selling Kool Aid, fudge, and cookies! Sorry she stuck you with the stuff though!
Cound you go ahead and deliver them to the company anyway? Best of luck!!
Wow! Sorry you got stuck with all those cupcakes. If you can't sell them, you may want to donate them to a Battered Women's Shelter. I once made a cupcake cake for my son's godmother (at cost only) and they cancelled the event she wanted them for the day of the event! I told her "no way do I want that many cupcakes" so she took them to the BWS, the kids there just loved them and it made them so happy!
Thanks to all of you for replying.
My daughter is 13; I would be afraid to do a lemonade stand because my luck someone fron DHEC would ride by & fine me for selling homebaked goods. Not allowed in my state. ![]()
Our church is doing a sacrifice dinner on Sunday and they already have desert. While I was on the computer today; my daughter called her grandmother and very politly told her that she was wrong for not telling me last night. I was shocked when my daughter told me this. She's not one to really talk back to an adult. ![]()
Anyway...
Her Grandmother asked me to bring them to her & she will take them on Monday. I told her I couldn't guarantee their flavor by then. The company wouldn't allow anyone who isn't an employe inside. You need a badge to get in the gates. I just didn't want them laying around my house. I am trying to lose weight. That would just be evil temptaion. ![]()
