Hi everyone ! I have a question - I am relatively new to decorating. I usually just torte my cake layers with bC, but I keep on seeing so many posts with these wonderful sounding fillings. Can anyone share their most popular flavors (and recipes if you don't mind). I would love to be able to have a little more variety. Also do you charge extra for cakes with a special filling?

Thanks a million ! icon_smile.gif

I use either the pastry tubes of the filling that I buy at the store, or Wilderness Lemon Pie filling. ALWAYS charge more! My favorite combinations: White cake with strawberry filling, or lemon filling, and chocolate cake with raspberry filling.

and this one, though I'm not sure if I liked b/c of the mango or the lime...

It is a jello cheesecake pudding and quite decent in my opinion. I can find it here, but some people have trouble finding it in their area. I just get it at walmart

I offer flavored BC (using creamer) or other fillings and yes charge extra! I charge .10 a slice for flavored BC and .20 a slice for other fillings.

Ihave a question about fillings and fondant covered cakes. I know that you shouldn't refridgerate fondant cakes, so how can so many of these fillings be used in a fondant cake without going bad? Some of the fillings are made with dairy products, lke cream cheese. Please explain what would be a safe filling.
