Making ice cream cake for my twins' 14th birthday, 10 inch round yellow cake with vanilla icecream (their decision, since they couldn't agree on one flavor !) I plan to bake & cool cakes today then put softened icecream in the same pan I baked in--freeze overnight. Will assemble cake Friday afternoon
2 questions: Should I line my pan with foil or plasic wrap before putting in the ice cream ?
Also, Can I use BC frosting or is stablized Cool Whip better ?

I would line the pan with plastic wrap. As for the frosting, either works. I would prefer the whipped, but that is just taste.
