Ok, I did a little experimenting with my mmf to make chocolate MMF and it worked.

This recipe made approximately 1 1/2 lbs. of chocolate MMF.

2 cups marshmallows
1 T. plus 2 t. water
1 t. real vanilla extract
3 T. Hershey's Cocoa powder
Almost 3 cups powdered sugar
Brown icing coloring
Crisco

Coat bowl with Crisco. Melt marshmallows and water in microwave for about 45 seconds or just until melted.

Take out and mix with a greased spoon to combine the water with the marshmallows, mix in your vanilla and brown icing coloring.

In a small bowl, add your Hershey's Cocoa Powder, and add enough powdered sugar to equal 3 cups. Mix together.

Add the cocoa and powdered sugar to the marshmallow mixture until you can no longer stir with a spoon, now use your greased hands in the bowl to combine as much as possible, then take it out and knead it on a greased surface, adding enough sugar until it feels like playdoh. Form into a ball.

Coat ball with crisco, wrap with plastic wrap and store in ziplock bag overnight.

When you are ready to use it, microwave for approximately 10 seconds to soften.

Lightly grease your surface and roll out.

*On a side note - if you want to make a bow or accents that will harden, mix 2 t. Gum Tex to 10 oz. of the MMF. Accents will harden in 24 hours.
